Hi Jason

Thanks for your comment. Personally, I would steer clear of any agency that requests a reading or critique fee; they're likely to be the scammers. You'll get the same feedback by joining a local writers group, or starting one of your own.

A good place to visit is the Predators and Editors site - http://anotherealm.com/prededitors/ They give details of any agents and publishers who are known to rip people off. Writer Beware provides a similar service at http://www.sfwa.org/Beware/

Always run a Google search on any agency you submit to. Chances are, if anyone's had problems with them, they'll have talked about it online.

Good luck!

Yeah! You didn't say anything about critiqués:
Do I need one?
How much should I expect to pay for one?
How do I know the whole "agency" setup isn't just a money-making scheme?
etc....

Ta Lad!

Hi Alan. Thanks for your comment. We all make mistakes; have you read about my experience with Jim Carrey yet? The important thing is to learn from them and progress. Love your site, btw. Loading the video now... Tommy

I'm glad I stumbled on this site. Reading it made me feel stupid for the past mistakes and exited about the future.
