Mr Gum and the Dancing BearHurrah and Harooh!  There’s a new Mr Gum book in town – and if that doesn’t get you excited, you must be a flippin’ crazer!

In Mr Gum and the Dancing Bear, Andy Stanton continues his skewed look at the odd goings on in Lamonic Bibber.  This time, a bear arrives in town and is befriended by Polly (well, she’s that kind of girl).  You’d think all was well until, of course, Mr Gum and his mucky butcher sidekick, Billy William the Third, turn up to create havoc.

The ensuing adventure takes Polly far away from home – some of it in disguise.  I won’t say any more in case the Spirit of the Rainbow turns up to give me a kicking for giving it all away – but I will say that you should buy this fifth book in the all-too-brilliant- Mr Gum series.  Buy it now.

Unless, of course, you’re on Mr Gum’s side…

Top Secret

I’ve had a little Scream Street news – but I can’t tell you just yet…

Sorry.  You’ll hear soon, though.  Promise.

Lost For Words

My good friend and fellow author, Barry Hutchison, has reviewed the first book in the Scream Street series – Fang of the Vampire.  Now, I know he’s a mate and all that, but his words have truly left me speechless:

Two years or so ago, when Tommy first mentioned his idea for a street filled with the undead, I thought ‘yep, sounds good.’ Had I known then just how it would have turned out I would have climbed onto my rooftop, stripped naked in the pouring rain and bellowed at the top of my voice: ‘SCREAM STREET IS COMING’.  Because it is. In October. And it’s going to be huge!

Thanks, Baz!  I owe you.

Drama-rama

I finished the first draft of my forthcoming educational drama book, Making A Drama Out Of A Crisis, today.  It still needs a fair bit of work, but I think it will be very strong resource by the time it comes out.  Plus, the book now includes a major class project that will be great fun to undertake.  More information soon…
