Happy New Year to everyone reading this blog!
2009 aims to be a busy year for me: I have five books being published in the UK… three more Scream Street novels, a book called Zombie for reluctant readers, and an educational tome packed with drama exercises for teachers to use. Plus, Scream Street launches in several countries around the world, starting with Australia this very month! (I can’t mention some of the others yet as we’re still waiting for contracts to be finalised – watch this space for further details).
I’m also proud to be the first RIF Ambassador. Reading Is Fundamental (part of the National Literacy Trust) have asked me to team up with North Ormesby Primary School to promote reading and writing to its pupils. If the project works, look out for further RIF Ambassadors being named soon.
On top of all that, I’m planning to move house this year – heading back to the North West of England to be closer to the rest of my family.
