I didn’t think I’d be including this page in the site - not for a while at least - but it turns out that the first book I wrote in the Too Ghoul For School series for Egmont Books - Terror In Cubicle Four - came second in the Gateshead Children’s Book Award for the best kids book of 2007!
Here’s the official announcement:
The winner of the 2008 Gateshead Children’s Book Award is Jeremy Strong for ‘Beware: Killer Tomatoes’.
Second prize goes to Tommy Donbavand (writing as B. Strange) for his spooky ‘Too Ghoul for School: Terror in Cubicle Four’ and third prize to Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy.
Thanks to everyone who voted!
