Scream Street is a series of 12 comedy horror novels from Tommy Donbavand, published by Walker Books.  They tell the tale of Luke Watson who, after he begins to change into a werewolf, causes his family to be moved to Scream Street - a secure location for vampires, zombies, monsters and more.

Luke quickly makes friends with a young vampire called Resus Negative, and Cleo Farr, an Egyptian mummy.  His parents, however, are terrified of their new neighbours, and Luke sets out to find a way to take them out of Scream Street and back home.

The first four books to be published (October 2008) are Fang of the Vampire, Blood of the Witch, Heart of the Mummy and Flesh of the Zombie.

Update, February 2008

Scream Street has now been doubled from six books to a 12 book series! The first four titles will be published by Walker Books in October 2008, followed by two books every six months until the end of 2010!

Original announcement, May 2007

Scream Street - my new series of comedy horror novels for 7 to 9 year olds - will be published by Walker books from Halloween 2008:

Walker Books growth in the mass-market. Following the current sales success and No.1 position of Anthony Horowitz’s Snakehead, Walker Books announces the acquisition of Scream Street. Publisher Gill Evans of Walker Books and agent Penny Holroyde of the Caroline Sheldon Literary Agency closed a 6-book deal (UK, Commonwealth, foreign) for Scream Street, from new writer Tommy Donbavand.

For 7-9 year olds, this comedy horror series will kick off with Fang of the Vampire & Blood of the Witch in October 2008, with plans to top and tail the series between Halloweens 2008 and 2009.

Gill Evans, Publisher at Walker Books says, ‘Tommy’s books are perfectly pitched for this readership, brilliantly plotted and laced with farts and gore - irresistible!’
